I’m not trying to revolutionise the watch industry but just wanting to have some fun. So I decided to use one of my favourite designs by Gerald Genta who designed the Royal Oak for Audemars Piguet, so I give you my version, The royal acorn. So instead of being teased by someone for wearing a fake AP Royal Oak, you can say that you are wearing a genuine Nekkid royal acorn. I never managed to raise the funds to go through with the 500 piece minimum order so this prototype is the only one available, for now.
I have two fully functioning prototypes. Both using famous Swiss movements. One is an automatic with blue dial which I’m a bit reluctant to list for sale.
This one is a quartz chronograph with calendar and sapphire crystal. Tag Heuer, Breitling, Maurice lacroix and other Swiss brands use this movement in their watch’s and charge between £2000-£3000
It has a 40mm case size and sapphire glass. The green dial has a Blockbusters pattern on it. No not the failed video rental company, I’m talking about the blockbusters game show presented by Bob Holness. If you remember that show then you know the feeling of growing up during those days. Good times.
Make me an offer on this one as it’s the only one and Bob Holness’ name was invoked in this conversation.
